こども学習教室では日本の学校とオンライン交流を行っております。
今回は８月に２度実施したHOPPAからすま京都ホテル・世田谷経堂の幼稚園部の生徒さんと、こども学習教室の年長クラスの生徒さんの様子をお伝えいたします。日本のHOPPAのみんなは英語で、ハワイこども学習教室のみんなは日本語でコミニュケーションを図ります。
HOPPAのみんなは普段から英語に触れる生活をしているので日本語を勉強しているこども学習教室のみんなとは英語+日本語を使います。画面のHOPPAのお友達に向けて恥ずかしながらもマイクに向かって元気よく日本語で自己紹介が出来ました。お互いに絵が書かれたカードを見せて日本語・英語では何というか当てるクイズをしました。みんなとっても盛り上がっていましたよ
最後に『If You’re Happy And You know It』を一緒に歌い楽しい時間はあっとゆう間に終わりへ。みんな飛び跳ねながら手を振り、お別れの挨拶をしてオンライン交流を終えました。

Kodomo Gakushu Kyoshitsu offers online exchange with Japanese schools.
In this issue, we would like to report on the two exchanges held in August, one with students from the kindergarten class at HOPPA Kyoto Hotel Setagaya Kyodo and the other with students from the older class at Kodomo Gakushu Kyoshitsu. The students from HOPPA in Japan communicate in English, and the students from the Hawaii Children’s Learning Class communicate in Japanese.
HOPPA students are exposed to English on a regular basis, so they use English + Japanese with those in Kodomo Gakushu Kyoshitsu who are studying Japanese. They were able to introduce themselves to their HOPPA friends on the screen, shyly but energetically speaking into the microphone in Japanese. We showed each other cards with pictures on them and had a quiz to guess what the cards were in Japanese and English. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Finally, we sang “If You’re Happy And You know It” together and the fun time came to an end in no time. Everyone jumped up and down, waved their hands, and said goodbye to each other as the online exchange came to an end.
